How it's calculated
- CGPA = Σ (SGPA × credits) ÷ Σ credits
- Without credits: CGPA = average of SGPAs
Worked example
SGPA 8.0 (20 credits) and 9.0 (22 credits) → CGPA 8.52.

Common questions
Why not just average the SGPAs?
Semesters with more credits count for more. A high SGPA in a light semester shouldn't weigh as much as one in a heavy semester.
