How we check accuracy

Each calculator goes through the same steps before it is published:

  • The formula is written down on the page, with its assumptions and limits.
  • The maths lives in a separate, plain function with automated tests for normal inputs, zero, negative, blank and extreme values, and rounding edge cases.
  • At least one worked example is checked by hand or against a trusted reference and kept as a regression test.
  • Numbers are kept at full precision and only rounded for display.
  • Anything based on rules that change — tax, GST, university conversions — records its source and the date it was last verified.

What our results are not

Results are estimates for planning. They are not financial, tax, legal or medical advice, and they do not replace your university's, lender's or doctor's own figures.

Report an error

Every calculator has a “Report it” link that sends us your exact inputs. You can also email hello@calculatekarlo.in.
