Type with your keyboard or tap the keys. Brackets, powers and functions follow normal maths order (BODMAS).
Enter for =, Esc to clear
How it's calculated
- Order: brackets, then powers (^, right to left), then × and ÷, then + and −
- −2^2 = −4 (the power applies before the minus sign)
- x% = x ÷ 100, so 15% of 240 = 0.15 × 240
- log = base 10, ln = base e
Worked example
2^10 + sin(30) = 1,024.5 in degree mode.

- Answers are shown to 12 significant digits.
- Trig functions use degrees unless you switch to radians.
Common questions
Why does 0.1 + 0.2 show 0.3 here but 0.30000000000000004 elsewhere?
Computers store decimals in binary, which adds tiny errors. We round the display to 12 significant digits to hide that noise.
How do I type a square root or π?
Use the √ and π keys, or type sqrt(…) and pi.
