Discount Calculator

Enter the price and the discount. Add a second discount if the offer stacks — the combined discount is usually less than the two added together.

Fill in the fields — the answer appears as you type.

How it's calculated

  • Final price = price × (1 − d₁/100) × (1 − d₂/100)
  • Effective discount = (price − final) ÷ price × 100

Worked example

₹2,000 with 20% + 10% off costs ₹1,440 — a 28% effective discount.

Assumptions and limits

  • Stacked discounts apply one after the other on the reduced price, which is how most retailers apply them. Check the offer terms.

Common questions

Why isn't 20% + 10% equal to 30% off?

The second discount applies to the already-reduced price: 2000 → 1600 → 1440, which is 28% off the original.
